Free Mega Health Fair And Entertainment in NJ

An unprecedented MEGA HEALTH FAIR is being organized along with lively entertainment on September 17th.

North American Telugu Association (NATA)’s community services team Srinivas Ganagoni (Chair), Mohan Patalolla (BOD), Mahender Musuku (BOD), Sarath Veta (member) are leading the efforts to conduct a FREE Health Fair on NATA Roju (September 17th) at Royal Albert’s Palace from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm and Grand Cultural Programs from 5.00 pm onwards.

This is a FREE event organized by the NATA NJ team as part of NATA's core mission to provide community services and charitable activities, Expert doctors will provide health counseling and advice for preventing metabolic and cardiovascular diseases and many other services.

Free FLU Vaccines will be given to the pre-registered participants on first come first serve basis.

There are more than 50 Volunteers (Physicians, Nurses, and Technicians) from various organizations such as St. Peter’s Health Care System, NAMI NJ, ADA NJ, Middlesex County Public Health Dept, AAIN-NJ2, NJ Stroke Coordinators Consortium and SKN Foundation.

Dr. Meena Murthy, Chief of Endocrinology, Nutrition and Metabolism at St. Peter’s University Hospital is putting together an excellent team to provide all the services during the NATA Health Fair on NATA Roju.

The Health Fair is organized from 9 A.M. to 3.00 pm on September 17th and will provide free health screenings for an estimated 300 people. Clinical diagnostic tests such as blood glucose, BP, Nutrition status, Eye Screening, Oral Health Screening, Stroke, Breast cancer, Sleep, memory & mood disorders, and arthritis.

The medical and health advice include 'Take Control of Your Health', Thyroid & Hormonal Health, and Ask the Doctor or Pharmacist.

As part of the NATA health fair, educational sessions will be conducted in the afternoon by expert doctors. Dr. David Alcid, chief of Infectious Diseases at Saint Peter's University Hospital, will speak on 'Prevention of Communicable Diseases'. Dr. Meena Murthy, chief of Endocrinology, Nutrition and Metabolism at Saint Peter's University Hospital, will speak on 'Metabolic Syndrome'. Dr. Naveen Mehrotra, founder of SKN Foundation, will speak on 'Obesity in Children’.

This will be followed by grand celebrations being held in the evening at the same venue as part of NATA’s effort in the preservation and promotion of Telugu culture and heritage, the team is planning for a mega cultural program by skilled artists, dancers and singers with programs showcasing Telugu talent. Several artists from India are expected to perform, including popular singers and actors.

Around 100 children will be participating in the program showcasing their talent in various dance forms from classical to Tollywood/Bollywood. The cultural programs will be held from 5 P.M. to midnight along with delicious dinner.

A free registration is required to attend the evening cultural programs to enable to arrange proper facilities and food arrangements. A delicious dinner will be served to all the attendees.

The NATA team under the advice and guidance of Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy (AC) and consisting of Mahender Musuku (BOD), Mohan Patalolla (BOD), Rajeshwar Reddy (EVP), Suresh Reddy (BOD), Mohan Reddy Talamati (BOD), Srinivas Arikatla (Adhoc Committee), Ramesh Chandra (RVP), Shiva Meka (NJ State RC), Mahender reddy (RC), Srinivas Ganagoni (CS Chair), Damu Gedala, Mahesh Bigala (PR Chair), Santosh Paturi (CS Co-Chair), Sarath Veta (CS Member), Dr. Prem Nandiwada, Bhaskar Bhupathi (RC), Ramana Reddy Devulapalli, Muralidhar Reddy, Bhanoji Reddy, along with the entire NE team are overseeing the arrangements for these events.
