Telugu people across North America are welcoming and overwhelmingly supporting the North America Telugu Society events and services since its inception less than a year ago. In New Jersey area, NATS promoted several events including - NATS introductory meet in June 2009, Food Drive for the homeless shelters in the month of October 2009, Clothing drive for A.P. flood victims in October & November 2009 and America Telugu Sambaralu Kick Off event on November 1st 2009 are a few to mention.
With the overwhelming support received, NATS gathered public opinion during the North America Sambaralu kick off event that’s held in Nov 2009. Attendees articulated the need for a Medical Camp, Career assistance and few more service initiatives in lieu of current economic conditions.
