Commemoration of Sri Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy's first death anniversary by Dallas Telugu Community.
Dr. YSR's Fans along with several local Telugu community leaders/organizations is planning to conduct D/FW Metroplex-wide Dr. YSR's First Vardhanti (Death Anniversary) celebrations on Sunday, September 5, at FunAsiA, Richardson, TX at 7pm.

Dallas has been venue to several major events to celebrate the life & times of Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy including ATA chief guest, recent (July 8, 2010) Birthday celebrations, he biggest Car Rally in May 2009 to celebrate the winning of second term Chief Minister-ship etc.
It is sad that such a great leader of our nation has been snatched away from us in that tragic helicopter accident on September 2, 2009.
However, his memories in our minds are etched forever and to commemorate such we will be conducting this Vardhnati event on September 5.
Please come and attend in large numbers and help celebrate the life and times of our fear-less leader late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Sri Y S Vivekananda Reddy, younger brother of Dr. YSR, former MP from Kadapa and current Member of AP Legislative Council (MLC) will be participating in this event as Invited Guest of Honor.
The program includes:
- Distribution of canned food for the needy at downtown Dallas Shelter home (6pm)
- Assembly at FunAsiA Richardson (7pm)
- Brief prayers from major world religions (Hindu, Christian, Islam, Judaism & Sikh),
- Short speeches by several prominent local community leaders

The Organizing Committee is requesting all Telugu population from Dallas Metro Area to be part this event and pray respects to Sri YSR, who tirelessly worked to bring AP state to new hights.
