Daggubati Puradeshwari Hails Dr Ghazal Srinivas
The Union Minister for Human Resources Daggubati Purandeshwari was part of the 86th Birth Anniversary Celebrations organized by NATS at Los Angeles, USA. As part of that, she gave away the audio CDs of a new album titled ‘Devalayam’. This is a composition of songs which speak about the importance of preservation of temples.
 
The songs were rendered by Dr Ghazal Srinivas while the lyrics are penned by Sira Sri, Dr T. Rajagopabalam and Rasaraju. Sharing her thoughts, Purandeshwari praised the efforts of Dr Ghazal Srinivas in portraying the significance of Indian culture and the temples. She also appreciated the way the essence of ‘Anna Daanam’ and piousness of sacred animal Cow was explained in the songs.
 
Purandeshwari had a special note of appreciation to the lyricists Sira Sri, Dr Tatavarthay Rajagopabalam and Rasaraju and stressed that historical monuments, temples which reflect our culture must be protected and the future generation must be imbibed with the values of spirituality. She also recalled the various mythological roles essayed by her father N T Rama Rao.
 
Dr Velagapudi Prakash Rao who was instrumental in bringing out the CDs was appreciated for his valuable contribution. The icing on the cake for the audience was the Ghazals from Dr Srinivas during the later part of the event.
