The city of Hyderabad was once known for its diverse culture and greenery but these days it is famous only for one thing – horrible traffic. On an average, a regular Hyderabad two wheeler rider spends nearly 3-4 hours trying to get to work or return back home.
So, it came as a breather to many over the past 3-4 days when they saw the empty roads in the city. The reason for that is the Sankranthi festival which came along with the weekend. Reports say that nearly 25 lakhs moved out of the city and went to their native places to be with their families.
The scene in Hyderabad was more like a curfew situation and many were peacefully driving and enjoying their rides. The locals were happy with this deserted look but few others reminded that because it was festival the roads were thin. Well, Monday has come so Hyderabad’s life gets back to normal once again.
