Reliance Industries said that even if the work is affected or stopped due to virus outbreak, the company will continue to pay contract and temporary workers. Adding to this, the company has aldo donated Rs 5 Crore to Maharashtra CM Relief Fund.
Many other companies are also taking inspiration from Ambani's Reliance and coming forward to mitigate any panic like situation among their employees. In the worst of times ever in entire world, it is only the humanity and employer support that becomes the hero.
Some retail companies are announcing full salary for their employees though the showrooms are shut for longer duration.
Some companies are explaining the situation and cutting down the salary to an extent of what their employees spend towards diesel, travel, school fees and entertainment in normal days, as there is no scope for that expenditure in lockdown period.
