Conference call with Rajiv S. Khanna for students

NATA (North American Telugu Association) is spearheading efforts in Community Services activities. NATA has learnt that many students of Telugu origin have been affected by the University of Northern Virginia has come under investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), bringing students to uncertainty regarding their status and options available.

NATA President AVN Reddy reviewed the situation and immediately authorized to form a committee consists of Mahender Musuku (BOD), Mohan Patalolla (BOD), Mahesh Bigala (PR Chair) & Srinivas Ganagoni (Community Services Chair) and take necessary steps with legal assistance and provide any other help as required.

To help these students NATA is taking several steps to guide them properly and arrange any help they need. NATA is determined to make every effort in helping the students of Telugu community in their legal needs.

NATA arranges a tele conference call with well known Top immigration attorney Rajiv S Khanna (www.immigration.com) who will be addressing the conference call and guide the students of this university or any others who are experiencing the similar problems.

NATA will open teleconference between affected parties and Rajiv Khanna to understand the grievances and guide them on the immigration issues.

Students of University of Northern Virginia and other universities can take advantage of the NATA’s guidance by dialing into a conference call on 08/04/2011 at 2:00 PM(EST). Students can contact NATA for the conference call details by sending email to [email protected] with subject line “conference”.

Pursuant to a review of University of Northern Virginia’s (UNVA) certification, an SEVP representative served school officials at UNVA with a Notice of Intent to Withdraw (NOIW) the school’s SEVP-certification and SEVIS access according to ICE Website (http://www.ice.gov/sevis/unva).

According to the notice, UNVA students have two choices,

1. Continue to attend classes and maintain their active status in a manner required by regulations.

2. Seek transfer to another SEVP-approved institution
