Cricket Club of Lexington (CCL) and Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society (BIACS) together has conducted the CCL - BIACS Cricket tournament 2013 in Lexington, KY on Sept 22nd 2013 and raised $1000 for the Akshaya Patra USA.
CCL - BIACS cricket tournament has received tremendous response from enthusiastic cricket fans from Lexington, Louisville, Gerogetown teams from Kentucky & Cincinnati & Dayton teams from Ohio . Fourteen 14 teams participated and around 150 players have participated in this tournament and put a spectacular show of cricket.
CCL - BIACS Cricket Organizing committee: Amith Jada, Anirudh Reddy, Ramanath, Ganesan, Suresh Manukonda, Prabhu, Pritesh, Mohan, Swaroop Mukka, Ramesh Malneni, Manoj Reddy, Venu, Srini Nagubadi and Sri Rapuri welcomed the teams and explained the tournament rules and also did umpiring and scoring for visiting teams.
Finals match between Cinci Chargers & LAFO Rockers was again a very close game and LAFO Rockers team emerged as the winners while Cinci Chargers team stood as the runner up.
The event concluded by awarding prizes to the winners and runners of the events. The crowd cheered the winners and runners alike as the proud recipients walked to receive the prizes.
