‘Sarvendriyaanaam Netram Pradhanam’ is the famous saying by the elders and the donation of eyes is considered a worthy pledge as it brings light into the lives of blind people. Now, the IT committee of YSR Congress party has called for an eye donation pledge campaign.
This is on the occasion of YS Jagan’s birthday. The date for the donation pledge campaign is December 17th, 2011 and the venue is YSR Congress party office at Rd-45, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. All are welcome to enrol their names and this noble cause is getting good response.
Today, India has nearly 12 million plus blind people and among them 4 million are corneally blind. There is a huge disparity between the demand and those who are willing to come forward for this cause. Perhaps it is time for all of us to come forward and bring the vision by donating our eyes.
