Behind The Scene: Sania's 'Tweet-Nothings'

The wedding-a-thon that Sania Mirza had for the whole of last week would have left her drained, one assumed, but that was clearly not the case with the tennis player.

On April 17, the morning after her grand reception at Taj Krishna, she tweeted a peppy message, of all being well and that she and her cricketer husband Shoaib Malik would be flying to Pakistan for more wedding celebrations.

The lady, who even gave marathon interviews with husband in tow to national television channels the day after her reception, also tweeted a clarification: “To all who are asking, I will still hold an Indian passport and will continue to play for India.’’ And if these two tweets weren’t enough for one day, the tennis ace tweeted more, this time to thank people for their wishes.

Sadly, her tweets didn’t cause the kind of frenzy on twitter-space and that possibly prompted our Pakistan-bound tennis player to tweet again on Sunday, April 18, wishing her followers a good morning and asking how they have been.

Later in the day, she tweeted how she was looking forward to the IPL match of the day and later wished Yuvraj Singh luck for his game. Well, either Ms Mirza has a lot of time on hand or she is really keen on beefing up her popularity, given the kind of controversies that surfaced in the run up to her shaadi. Here’s tweeting her good luck.
