'America lo Mana Vaallu' Book Released

NRI Telugus in America are doing a great job in preserving and promoting our Telugu language & Culture and we expect their active role in the forth coming 4th World Telugu Conference being organized by Govt of AP in Tirupati on 27-29 Dec 12 says Sri Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism & Culture at the book release function of “ America lo Mana Vaallu” by Chennuri V Subba Row, Editor, Telugu Times in a function in Telugu University Auditorium, Hyderabad on Thursday, 20 Dec 12.

Inaugurating a 160 paged, colorful book “ America lo Mana Vaallu”, he appreciated the efforts of Subba Row in functioning as a sincere media connect between NRI Telugu community in USA and the Telugus in Andhra Pradesh and also said that Mr Subba Row has rightly brought out this book using his long years of journalistic expertise and his experience with USA Telugu community.

Sri Mandali Bhudda Prasad, Chairman, Official Language Commission said Mr Subba Row is a true journalist and also a very good public relations expert as he is liked by every Association in USA. He also said that Mr Subba Row’s role in USA is demonstrated by the presence of ATA, NATA,TANA Leaders on stage for this book function. He praised NRIs who will be coming to the 4 th World Telugu Conference and said that World Telugu Conference is being organized only on the suggestions given by NRIs.

Sri Prasad Thotakura has appreciated the efforts of Subba Row in bringing out a Book on NRI Telugu community and wished tht the book has some matter of TANA. Mr Karunakar Madhavarapu, President Elect, ATA has congratulated Subba Row for bringing out a book on NRIs. Dr Haranath Policherla, Trustee, NATA has congratulated Subba Row. Mr Jayaram Komati, Former President, TANA also congratulated Subba Row for a good work done.

Speaking at the Subba Row informed on how he accidentally started working for ATA in 1992 which got him connected to USA , which later made him starting Telugu Times in 2003 and explained the journey of Telugu Times for the last 9 years. Mr Subba Row explained the purpose of writing this book “ America lo Mana Vaallu” is to tell the Telugus in Andhra Pradesh about various aspects of NRI Telugu community living in USA. The Book deals with National Associations, City based Associations and their role in the life of the community and also explains various factors like Cinemas, Restaurants, Temples that are managed in USA. The book also explains about the life style issues, parenting issues, volunteering habits of the community etc with relevant photos.
