Hyderabad (IANS): An under-construction building collapsed in Narayanguda, trapping many inside. Nine workers were found dead and another four of them have been rescued. Rescue operations are still on.
Three construction workers were rescued by the police and fire services personnel from the debris of the three-storeyed building. The mishap took place around 2.30 pm in the busy Narayanaguda area in the city centre.
"We don't know the exact numbers but six to 10 people may be trapped under the debris," Hyderabad district collector Naveen Mittal told reporters.
The fire services department and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) pressed their men and machinery into service to remove the debris. Ambulances rushed to the scene.
