YSRC MLAs Lost Yet Another Golden Chance!

YSRC MLAs Lost Yet Another Golden Chance!

YSR Congress party legislators, who have boycotted the state assembly in the name of protesting against the speaker’s refusal to disqualify MLAs who had defected into the ruling Telugu Desam Party, are losing golden opportunities to attack the Chandrababu Naidu government in many ways.

The ongoing winter sessions have completely lacked lustre due to the boycott by the YSRC MLAs and the ruling party is having a smooth sailing in the House without the opposition.

Whatever be the statements that are being made by YSRC leaders outside the assembly are not going into the public because of poor media coverage.

Had they been in the assembly, their voice would have been heard through live telecast at least. As a result, the ruling party could get away without any attack on the issue of recent boat tragedy in Krishna river in Vijayawada.

On Thursday, the government sent a team of MLAs and MLCs to Polavaram to inspect the ongoing project works.

The team, which left Vijayawada in the morning, would make a thorough review of the works with officials at Polavaram project site.

This was also a golden chance to expose the inefficiency of the Chandrababu Naidu government. But the team does not have the YSRC MLAs, as they chose to abstain from the House.

Had they been in the team, they would have got an opportunity to grill the officials by getting the first hand information about the Polavaram project.

Unfortunately, the YSRC MLAs have missed the bus. They are now said to be grumbling over the decision taken by their boss Y S Jaganmohan Reddy!
