Why Hurry For Capital Without Facilities?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to be in a big hurry to shift the administration to Vijayawada which he has declared as the new capital of the State, without bothering to create any working atmosphere there.

Apparently, Naidu is of the view that it would be enough if ultra-modern facilities are created for him and his cabinet colleagues in Vijayawada, but he does not seem to have paid any attention to provide infrastructure facilities for the employees, who are still operating from Hyderabad.

If the employees have to be shifted to Vijayawada, they not only need offices and working atmosphere, but also residential facilities and education for their children. A lot of other arrangements have to be made for their living in Vijaywada.

Andhra Pradesh NGOs Association president Ashok Babu has already announced that they were not ready to work under trees in Vijayawada and would oppose shifting of employees without providing basic amenities and facilities to them there.

He felt the officials and staff of some departments can also work from Hyderabad too. If necessary, the employees have to be transferred with their consent only, he added.
