Where is your fighting spirit, Mr Reddy?

Telangana Congress Committee president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy is known for making bold statements against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government, but when it comes to practice, he and his party completely lack the courage to fight against the ruling party.

On Saturday, Uttam addressed the 46th foundation day of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), where he called upon the youth to develop fighting spirit and exhorted students to wage a war against the State government over their burning issues.

He alleged that the TRS government failed to fulfil the assurances given to the students before the elections, including implementation of KG to PG scheme.

He also lamented that K T Rama Rao and Nizamabad MP Kavitha, who had no political experience, were criticising the Congress.

Alleging that Chandrasekhar Rao’s family members were constructing castles in the air, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said Telangana, which was achieved through movements, was facing a tough time. He said the TRS government was destroying the education sector in the State.

Unfortunately, the Congress leaders themselves lack this fighting spirit among themselves. There is no common programme of action and no comprehensive strategy to mobilise the people to fight against the government on crucial issue.

All that the Congress leaders to is to address a few meetings at Gandhi Bhavan and disperse.
