JC blackmailing Naidu with quit drama?

Telugu Desam Party MP J C Diwakar Reddy on Thursday sprang a surprise on the party leadership by announcing his resignation from the Lok Sabha membership, stating that he has utterly failed to live up to the expectations of the people of his Anantapur constituency.

But the TDP leadership, according to sources, has taken it easy the resignation threat of JC. TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is very much aware that JC was enacting the resignation drama to blackmail the government on some issues pertaining to his travel business.

JC told media that he could not do anything for his Anantapur constituency. He said he would go to Delhi next Tuesday and submit his resignation  to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan the following day.

"I could not get even sanitation works. I could not give people drinking water. I could not complete Chagallu irrigation project" he confessed.

It is learnt there have been several complaints from the local TDP leaders about JC’s highhanded behaviour in the district. JC said some elements (within the party) are creating hurdles for development of Anantapur, he said not naming any leader.
