Power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, who has been keeping silent when there were major issues and scandals confronting the state and has been busy focussing only on his films, has opened his mouth on politics at last.
But not on the people’s issues, but to congratulate former union minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader M Venkaiah Naidu, who been chosen as the NDA candidate for the Vice President of India post.
In a statement released to the media, Pawan Kalyan was all praise for Venkaiah for his abilities and said he was the most suitable candidate for the Vice President post.
He even congratulated BJP high command for choosing Telugu man for the post and hoped that Venkaiah Naidu will bring dignity to the post.
In fact, Pawan, when he was active as Jana Sena chief, addressing meetings, was attacking Venkaiah in strong words.
He even took pot shots at the senior leader for backtracking on the special category status and ridiculed that Venkaiah had brought two rotten laddus for AP in the form of special package.
So, now, his statement praising Venkaiah made one wonder whether the Jana Sena chief had changed his mind again in favour of the BJP.
For quite some time, Pawan has been keeping stoic silence over issues of public concern whether it was Vizag land scam, Kapu agitations, mysterious deaths in tribal areas and SC categorisation.
It would have been good for him had he issued another statement on all these issues.
