The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party might be arch political rivals, but they have come to an understanding on one issue: that is bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Expelled Seemandhra Congress MP Sabbam Hari on Saturday alleged that bifurcation of the State was a part of a secret understanding between the ruling Congress and the main Opposition party BJP.
Sabbam Hari demanded that the Congress make public the secret understanding it had with the BJP. He pointed out that the BJP behaved differently in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during the debate on AP Reorganisation Bill 2013.
He said the Telangana Bill was introduced in Parliament in utter violation of Constitution norms and democratic spirit. He said no bill will go forward in Parliament without amendment of the Constitution.
