Ex PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and his entire family were defeated during the recently concluded general elections. But it appears that Botsa is still living in his cocoon.
There was a time when Botsa considered himself to be a powerful politician who played an important role in state politics, especially the north Andhra politics. However, during the recent elections, people have taught him a good lesson by making sure that he lost.
In fact, even his wife Botsa Jhansi who contested as a MP also lost. Following his defeat, Botsa blamed bifurcation for Congress’ debacle in the state. So far so good. What came as a surprise was his refusal to accept the influence of Modi. He says Modi did not impact Congress party’s fortunes.
Being a seasoned politician, Botsa is well-aware of the fact that it is solely due to Modi that BJP and TDP did well in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
And like all seasoned politicians he is feigning ignorance of a fact that is right on the face. But that’s the way politicians in opposition behave.
