Despite being an ally of the BJP, Chandrababu Naidu has criticized the BJP at the injustice meted out to Andhra Pradesh in the Union Budget.
In fact, every politician in Andhra Pradesh has seized on the opportunity to lash out at the BJP barring YS Jagan. Why is the YSRCP supremo silent on this issue? Why has his response to Naidu’s plans of a new capital been lukewarm?
Political analysts say that Jagan cannot afford to speak out against the BJP.
The reason is the cases pending against him. If Jagan were to take a hostile stand towards the BJP, he might well find himself in a lot of trouble regarding the numerous cases against him.
Until and unless, Jagan frees himself from the clutches of the cases filed against him, he cannot speak out actively on any significant issue.
But judging by the pace of the proceedings, the cases will not be solved anytime soon. They will be lengthened as much as possible to keep Jagan in check.
