Weekend US BO: YS and MMA turn Disasters

Weekend US BO: YS and MMA turn Disasters

After the colossal flop of 'Paisa Vasool' a week ago, the distributors and exhibitors in North America have seen two duds last weekend.

There were not much expectations on Allari Naresh’s film but the trade hoped that Naga Chaitanya’s movie would set cash registers ringing. But both the movies have tanked.

“Yuddham Sharanam” didn’t even bring in 100k dollars in its opening weekend and it has to be the lowest ever opening number for a Naga Chaitanya starrer at North American box-office. The film didn’t show jump on any day.

#YuddhamSharanam: Thur 33,435 Fri 21,035 Sat 19,570 Sun 10k (apprx) Total Weekend: $84k (apprx)

Telugu NRI audiences seem to have completely given up on Allari Naresh long back. They didn’t show interest on his latest ‘Meda Meedha Abbayi’ at all. The film’s collections are below 9,000 dollars.

#MMA: Thur 375 Fri 2829 Sat 3810 Sun 1000 (apprx) Total Weekend: $8300

On the other hand, “Arjun Reddy” has emerged as top performer in its third weekend too as it has added another 100k dollars to its total over the weekend. Balakrishna’s “Paisa Vasool” has been terminated.
