Huge Drop for Vijay's Adirindhi

Huge Drop for Vijay's Adirindhi

Dull phase at box-office is continuing despite a slew of new releases. After a terrific first weekend, Vijay's "Adirindhi" too has lost steam and the collections are pretty average.

Traditionally, the month of November is considered a bad month for collections. Hence, big movies skip this month and book Christmas period or Sankranthi instead of releasing in November.  "Adirindhi" is also facing the 'November trouble'.

On the other hand, nearly nine movies are going to hit the screens this coming weekend. None of them have the power to pull the audiences to the theaters.

Among the straight small movies that are hitting the screens this weekend, "London Babulu" presented by Maruthi, "Lovers Club", an NRI-directed "Prema Entha Madhuram Priyuralu Antha Katinam" and "Prematho Mee Karthik" are noticeable feature films.

Along with these movies, both Siddharth's "Gruham" and Karthi's "Khakee" will be competing at the box-office. Siddharth has lost craze in Tollywood totally, so there is barely any buzz around it.

Although Karthi has good following in Telugu states, this particular dubbed movie has failed to generate any pre-release interest.

Despite many releases, the trade is not excited. Looks like the cold spell at the box-office will continue for another week.
