Dr. Vavilala, post-doctoral chemist, killed in a road accident

Dallas, TX: Dr. Chandra Sekhar Vavilala, 36, post-doctoral fellow in Chemistry, a native of Ongole town in Andhra Pradesh struck by car and killed in New Orleans city in Louisiana State on Thursday, February 19th at 6:30 PM. He was struck by a car from the behind while he was going to University on a bicycle. He died on the spot with multiple injuries.   

Dr. Vavilala earned a Ph. D in Chemistry at a University in Germany and moved to Princeton University, New Jersey, USA in 2007. He relocated to New Orleans in January 2009 to work as a research scholar in the Dept. of Chemistry with Prof. Robert Pascal at Tulane University.

Dr. Vavilala is survived by his wife Anasuya Kolavennu, Ph. D and a four years old daughter.

TANA Executive Vice President, Prasad Thotakura, TANA Secretary Mohan Nannapaneni, TANA South West Regional Director Murali Vennam and a team of TEAM Square volunteers are working on all logistics to send the deceased to Ongole as soon as possible”.
