TDF Celebrated Bathukamma in Washington DC

Bathukamma season in North America started with Washington DC celebrating it in a big way on Saturday September 19th. The day started in excellent sunlight and hundreds of people turned out for the huge festival celebrated at Lake Fairfax Park and Over 350 people dressed for the occasion in various colors, matching with the spirit of the festival of colorful flowers, showed for the event in the spirit of Bathukamma celebration.
 
A surprise guest appearance was made by the CEO of TV9, Ravi Prakash garu at the Washington DC. The event was organized by Telangana Development Forum volunteers from Washington DC and supported by local Telugu organizations, TV9 and Telangana Jagruti. TDF requests every person interested in celebrating Bathukamma to participate in their respective city, at any near by place that is convenient for them.
 
TDF thanks all volunteers as this year Bathukamma is dedicated to all volunteers who are putting in many hours of work at each event.
 
The event was successfully organized by: Kalyan Muddasani, Praveen Shyamala, Rajesh Badam, Vishnu Prasad, Pradeep Nugooru, Amar Jannupreddy, Srinivas Vippa, Balakrishna Patlori, Anil Kasineni, Prashanth Puram and Rajesh Madireddy.
 
Best Bathukamma prize winners are Swarna Veerla, Manju Tummala, Suneetha Gadapa and Shweta Muddasani.
