Why not full salaries to revenue and municipal staff?

Why not full salaries to revenue and municipal staff?

The Telangana government headed by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced payment of full salaries to the police and medical department employees including doctors and paramedical staff, but ignored many other frontline departments.

While the AP government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy exempted even sanitation staff of the municipal administration department, KCR ignored these sections.

Telangan Congress went a step ahead and demanded that the KCR government pay full salaries to the employees of Revenue, Panchayat Raj and Municipal Administration departments also.

TPCC treasure Guduru Narayan Reddy said like doctors and the police, employees of Revenue, Panchayat Raj and Municipal Administration departments have also been working hard on almost 24x7 basis in anti-Coronavirus operations across the State.

He said the employees of these departments have been taking care of logistics and providing other support during the lock down period.

He said that the Municipal employees were actively taking part in spraying operations and other activities. Similarly, Revenue and Panchayat Raj employees were playing a crucial role in rural areas.

Therefore, they, too, should be paid full salaries along with doctors and police, Reddy said.

He said any deduction in salaries of employees of key departments would demoralise the staff and it would have a direct impact on their performance.
