Y S Vijayamma is likely to attend the political meeting of Y S Sharmila to be held in Khammam on Friday, April 9.
Sharmila, who played key role in keeping the YSR Congress intact for 16 months when her brother Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was in jail in 2012-13, is disappointed with her brother keeping her out of politics.
Unable to find a place in AP politics with her brother saying no to her entry, Sharmila had finally decided to launch her own political party in Telangana.
She had been holding meetings and even meeting some important persons across the Telangana for the past two months.
Finally, she is holding a public meeting in Khammam on April 9 to make her mind clear to the people.
She is also expected to announce the name of her party – YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) at this meeting.
Sources say that Sharmila’s mother, Vijayamma is also attending the meeting, where she is expected to seek the blessing of the people of Telangana for her daughter.
Sharmila is focusing on late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s loyalists to support her, particularly in the light of the Congress losing its ground.
A good number of Congress leaders from Telangana have been waiting for her to give them their past glory as the Congress in Telangana or for that matter either of the Telugu states is on extinct.
