Rs 15,000 Cr Land Scam Blown Open in Hyderabad!

Rs 15,000 Cr Land Scam Blown Open in Hyderabad!

The Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) launched a massive demolition drive in Gajularamaram on Sunday, clearing illegal constructions on government land valued at nearly ₹15,000 crore.

Officials revealed that houses measuring 60–70 square yards, each sold for around ₹10 lakh, were being built on the encroached land.

Based on complaints, HYDRAA found that nearly 100 acres out of 300 acres in Survey No. 397 had been occupied illegally.

The land, originally allotted to the State Finance Corporation, TSIIC, HMDA, and the Housing Board, had remained unused for years, paving the way for large-scale encroachments.

Permanent structures had already been erected on portions of the land, which is currently valued at ₹40–50 lakh per acre.

During the operation, locals staged protests, claiming they had purchased the land in good faith and demanded strict action against those who sold it to them.

HYDRAA officials assured that the reclaimed land would now be fenced off to prevent further encroachments.
