Jubilee Hills by-poll: Exit polls give edge to Cong

The much-awaited exit poll results for the high-stakes Jubilee Hills assembly by-election have been released within an hour of the conclusion of polling on Tuesday with almost all the agencies giving a clear edge to the ruling Congress headed by Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy.

The surveys, conducted by multiple polling agencies, suggest that the Congress party is set to emerge victorious in the prestigious constituency, edging ahead of its main rival, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

The by-poll, held amid intense campaigning since October 13, saw a triangular contest among the ruling Congress, the BRS, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

All three parties fielded prominent candidates, deploying their full strength to woo the 4 lakh-plus electorate.

The campaign witnessed vigorous door-to-door canvassing, social media outreach, and public meetings, turning Jubilee Hills into one of the most fiercely fought electoral battlegrounds in Telangana.

According to the exit polls released by various survey agencies, the Congress appears to have a clear upper hand, while the BRS is trailing narrowly and the BJP seems to be a distant third.

Exit poll findings:

Chanakya Strategies: Congress 46%, BRS 43%, BJP 6%

People’s Pulse: Congress 48%, BRS 41%, BJP 6%

Naganna Survey: Congress 47%, BRS 41%, BJP 8%

Operation Chanakya: Predicts Congress victory with a majority of around 8,000 votes

JANMINE Survey: Congress 42.5%, BRS 41.5%, BJP 11.5%

HMR and SmartPoll surveys also project the Congress in the lead

If these trends hold true, the Jubilee Hills by-poll could mark a significant morale booster for the Congress government, which has been in power in Telangana for nearly two years.

The result will also be closely watched as a test of Revanth Reddy’s leadership and the BRS’s ability to retain its urban vote base post the assembly elections.
