Defence Estates Officer B. Ajith Reddy was appointed Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday.
Ajith Reddy previously served in the Secunderabad Cantonment Board and is currently stationed in Bengaluru.
According to sources, two additional bureaucrats are expected to be appointed as secretaries in the Chief Minister's Office (CMO): former GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar and Manicka Raj.
While clearance is pending from the Election Commission for relieving Lokesh Kumar, the Centre needs to repatriate Manicka Raj, who is currently working in the Union Department of Economic Affairs.
