Even as the sensational land scams in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad have become hot topics in the political circles and common people, there has not been a single word from power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan till now.
Especially with regard to Visakhapatnam land scam, the opposition YSR Congress party has launched a major offensive.
It is planning a Maha Dharna in Visakhapatnam on Thursday creating tense moments for the ruling Telugu Desam Party.
But surprisingly, Pawan has not come out with any reaction either in favour of or against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.
It is not that Pawan is totally immersed in his shooting schedules, ignoring politics. Even on Wednesday evening, there was a press statement signed by Pawan himself, asking enthusiastic people to join the Jana Sena camps in Adilabad and Karimnagar districts on June 24 and 25 as part of the talent hunt for the party.
So, why is not Pawan responding to the land scams?
According to YSR Congress Party MLA Ravindranath Reddy, the Jana Sena president is not willing to criticise the TDP and the chief minister at all, because he is a paid puppet of Naidu.
“Pawan starts his political schedule only after receiving timely instalments of money from Naidu and reads out the scripts presented by the TDP,” he criticised.
He wondered why Pawan is maintaining silence even when the state is witnessing several troublesome and illegal incidents including murders of political leaders.
“Being a political leader, it is not a good on the part of Pawan to remain silent on crucial issues in the democratic society.
If Pawan cannot run the party, it is better he merge it with the TDP, as his brother Chiranjeevi did with his Praja Rajyam Party,” Reddy advised.
