Pawan pats Cong, but skips Rahul meeting

As expected, power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is not attending the public meeting being organised by the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee at Guntur on Sunday demanding special category status to AP.

Pawan expressed his views through twitter. “I will support any political party who is fighting for special status for AP (sic). My best wishes to Raghuveera Reddy garu (APCC president). But due to short notice, I am not able to make it.

But every political party should come under common dais when it comes to fighting for promised special status with the Centre (sic),” he tweeted.

Though Jana Sena Party president says he is not able to make it due to lack of time, it is not the real reason, for the Congress party invited him well in advance.

In fact, Pawan has others reasons to skip the Congress party meeting. If he attends, he will have to speak against the Congress party in the presence of Rahul Gandhi for dividing Andhra Pradesh.

Secondly, he does not want to give any chance for the Congress party to regain its identity, if not glory. And finally, he does not want to antagonise the Telugu Desam Party at this stage, though he can attack the Bharatiya Janata Party.
