Not Trading MLAs, People's Mandate Will Prevail

Kadapa: It is not trading of MLAs that brings development but winning people’s heart through welfare schemes that vouches for morals and scruples of any government, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said and affirmed that four or five legislators crossing over would make no difference to the Party.

"Chandrababu Naidu has been known for his manipulative politics from the days of usurping power from NTR and is flushed with corruption money which is being used to buy MLAs from other side giving them huge packages as he is unable to go to the people after going back on all poll promises," he told reporters here on Thursday.

Chandrababu Naidu could not dare go to people as the loan waiver, jobs and stipend promises were not fulfilled and is trying to make up by trading MLAs offering them, cash, contracts and ministerial berths. Such an exercise will fall flat.

"In the coming days, should any of the legislators from the ruling party approach me, I will not take them in, but will ask them to resign from the house and in the impending elections will win and arrive like a hero and not from the back door to which Chandrababu Naidu is familiar of", he said.

When we started the party, we were just two members and it has swelled to 18 and all of them had openly defied their party whip, sought disqualification, went to the people and returned to the house as YSRCP MLAs.

From two to 18 to 67, we have grown and if five persons leave, nothing would happen. We have the people with us and we are with the people, he said.
