Hyderabad: Jagan Mohan Reddy, whose indefinite fast against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh entered the fifth day, may be force-fed and taken to hospital after his health worsened today.
Jagan, who leads the YSR Congress, is suffering from dehydration and has fever, said doctors who examined him today.
Doctors also warned that the 40-year-old could slip into coma due to dangerously low sugar levels, and urged him to take fluids and medicines.
Thousands of supporters have gathered at Jagan's Lotus Pond office in Hyderabad, where he is sitting on his fast.
However, Jagan has refused to take fluids and medicines and announced that he would continue his fast till the Centre withdraws its decision to divide the State to carve out Telangana.
