Two days after the brutal attack on a woman at an ATM center in the heart of Bangalore, the assailant was caught by Karnataka police at Hindupur in Anantapur district.
The attacker was nabbed by the police when he was making a call from a cell phone of an unknown person.
The accused had on Tuesday brutally attacked a woman, a manager at Corporation Bank, when she entered the ATM which was not manned by a guard.
The miscreant followed her inside the ATM, brought down the shutter and went on to threaten her with a machete. When the woman resisted, the assailant pushed her down and attacked her again, before escaping.
The gruesome act took place in spite of the ATM's location near a police station. The victim was grievously injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The doctors attending to her, conducted plastic and brains surgery. They have added that her right side, which was paralysed in the attack, might take months to heal.
