Where Was Ashok In The Entire Drama?

At a time when the Telugu Desam Party moved heaven and earth in Parliament during the entire week with all its MPs, including Union minister of state for science and technology Y S Chowdary, revolted against the NDA government for betraying Andhra Pradesh in the Union budget, one person was conspicuously absent in the whole drama.

He is none other than Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

He was nowhere to be seen when the MPs were staging dharna outside the Parliament and his colleague Y S Chowdary alias Sujana Chowdary running from pillar to post to put forth the demands of the state.

He was not even present in the House when finance minister Arun Jaitely speaking in the House and making casual reference to the demands of Andhra Pradesh. He was not available to the media to make a comment and did not turn up to Parliament.

It is not exactly known whether Raju was indisposed and hence could not come to Parliament or was upset with the TDP leadership as a whole.

In fact, he was not happy with the way TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been ignoring him and not consulting him while taking crucial decisions.

What is worse, Naidu has appointed Ganta Srinivasa Rao as in-charge minister of Viziangaram, much to Raju’s disgruntlement.

There was a talk that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited him into the BJP sometime back, but Raju did not entertain the invitation. So, there must be some other reason for his disgruntlement!
