Unhappy Galla Aruna Eying Jagan Party?

Former minister Galla Aruna Kumari, who played a key role in the Y S Rajasekhar Reddy government, is said to be extremely unhappy in the Telugu Desam Party which she had joined before 2014 Assembly elections.

According to sources, Aruna had recently held a meeting of her followers and supporters in Tirupati to discuss on her future course of action.

She said she was feeling suffocated in the TDP, as she was not getting any importance in the party. Though TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had promised to make her as an MLC and take her into the cabinet, it has not happened so far; and moreover, she is not being taken into confidence even in the Chittoor district party affairs.

She told her followers that she felt humiliated when she was entrusted with the insignificant task of supervising kitchen during the recently held Mahanadu in Tirupati.

“I had held several important positions in the Congress party and YSR government. But now, I am being treated not even like an ordinary party worker,” she lamented.

Aruna reportedly told the followers that she was considering quitting the TDP and join another party – may be YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, as there is no future for the Congress party.

While some of them approved of her idea, many others advised her against doing so, since her son Galla Jayadev is a TDP MP from Guntur and has a lot of clout in Naidu circle.

“If mother goes into the Opposition party and son remains in the ruling party, it will sent wrong signals into the people and affect their image,” they told her.
