TDP Gets Shock From Modi?

Telugu Desam Party has been fighting for some time now, to rename the Hyderabad International Airport from Rajiv Gandhi to NT Rama Rao.

Well the international airport was sanctioned in TDP's regime and even the layout and the works were started under their rule. However, TDP lost to Congress in 2004 elections and former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy named international airport after Rajiv Gandhi.

Now, TDP is in power in Andhra Pradesh and BJP at the center. TDP's Ashok Gajapathi Raju became Aviation Minister and he quoted that the demand to rename Rajiv Gandhi Airport after former Andhra Pradesh CM NT Rama Rao is justified.

But, in a meeting held with his ministers, Modi has clearly instructed his ministers that there will be no renaming of projects begun by the Congress government.

This means, Modi has ruled out the appeal to rename the Hyderabad International Airport. This came as a shock to Chandra Babu Naidu and Telugu Desam Party.
