Media advisor to the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh Parakala Prabhakar, who was out of limelight for quite some time, appears to have come back in action.
The Naidu government recently issued orders extending the term of Parakala as the media advisor for a period of two years, though in normal terms, the advisor post is only for one year, extendable by another year at a time.
Secondly, Parakala was always kept aside whenever Naidu visited a foreign country in the past. But in the recent past, he had toured along with Naidu to two foreign countries – China and Russia.
This clearly shows that Parakala has regained his importance in Naidu’s coterie. Apparently, the chief minister is learnt to have found that there is no better person than Parakala to propagate the government’s programmes as he has a lot of articulation.
In the recent past, Parakala played a key role in organising interviews of Naidu in the national media and that fetched him a lot of mileage. And he gave a strong rebuttal to the TRS government on the allegations of plagiarism of its web content by the AP government.
So, Parakala will continue to be a yes man of Naidu for at least another two years!
