The Andhra Pradesh government is recommending the name of well-known actor and Rajahmundry MP Maganti Murali Mohan for the title of Padma Bhushan.
It is being said that they would recommend his name based on Murali Mohan’s services to the film industry and other social activities.
Well-known literary figure Chaganti Koteswara Rao has also been nominated for the list. Meanwhile, senior journalist I Venkata Rao, cartoonist Sridhar and actor Kota Srinivasa Rao are being considered for Padma Sri.
The government will also recommend the name of Dr Nageswara Reddy for the title of Padma Vibhshan.
However, the state government’s recommendations are not mandatory and the centre will make the final decision.
