North-South divide in T-Congress against 'CBN friendship'!

Congress leaders from North Telangana districts are very angry at the party high command for forging an alliance with the TDP and making Chandrababu to campaign in Telangana for the Assembly polls.

North Telangana Congress leaders strongly feel that they paid a heavy price for joining hands with Chandrababu at the behest of South Telangana leaders.

TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and working president A Revanth Reddy, both from South Telangana districts played a crucial role in making possible, the Congress-TDP alliance.

North Telangana leaders say that South Telangana leaders in their bid to garner votes of AP settlers, mostly residing in the South Telangana districts, forced the Congress high command to join hands with the TDP, a move which badly backfired.

This gave ammunition to TRS chief KCR, who flared up 'Telangana sentiment' during his campaigning saying that Andhra Babu will again rule Telangana if Mahakutami comes to power.

This sentiment washed away Congress in North Telangana, which was the epicenter of the Statehood agitation.

North Telangana leaders say that while the friendship with Babu did not fetch any seats for Mahakutami in South Telangana districts, it caused a huge loss to Congress in North Telangana where it was strong and capable of beating the TRS.

North Telangana leaders are now demanding that the Congress high command should announce the end of friendship with Chandrababu immediately failing which they will be forced to join TRS or other parties to contest the ensuing Lok Sabha polls in April 2019.

The leaders opine that an alliance with Chandrababu will prove to be costly once more for the Congress in the Lok Sabha polls.
