Nayeem Wanted To Start News Channel?

Dreaded Maoist-turned-gangster Nayeemuddin, who was killed in a police encounter at Shadnagar in Mahbubnagar district on Monday, had made tonnes of money through extortions, land settlements and forcible acquisition of lands from individuals and real estate dealers.

But in the recent past, Nayeem had apparently realised that he could make big money also through media.

According to sources, a couple of months ago, Nayeem was planning to launch a television news channel and had even an advance amount of Rs 3 crore to a journalist in Nalgonda to initiate the process. However, even before the channel took a preliminary shape, he was killed in the encounter.

Well, Nayeem finally understood the power of media. And there is no better way to make money than owning a media house. It will help blackmail anybody and at the same time fetch him immunity from the attack by the government.

By the way, Nayeem had a vast network in the media as well and at least a 100 so-called reporters in the rural areas of Nalgonda and Nizamabad are said be in his pay rolls. It is alleged that some reporters in Nalgonda are richer than their media bosses!
