Naidu's dilemma: YSR belongs to Congress or YSRCP?

Naidu's dilemma: YSR belongs to Congress or YSRCP?

Ahead of crucial Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, TDP president and AP CM N Chandrababu is facing a big dilemma on what stand he should adopt on Congress strongman and late AP CM Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

The AP Assembly elections have become a straight fight between TDP and YSRCP as Congress, BJP and Jana Sena have failed to make their mark in AP politics before elections and have no chances to show any impact in upcoming polls.

On one hand, Chandrababu has joined hands with Congress in Telangana. In AP, a decision on TDP-Congress alliance is yet to be taken.

But at national-level, Chandrababu is already rallying for Congress-led Front to take on BJP.

In this scenario, Chandrababu is confused how voters will react if he criticises late YSR while maintaining friendship with Congress.

For TDP and Chandrababu, the main weapon to attack YSRCP and Jagan is criticising late YSR as 'raja of corruption' and highlighting YSR-led Congress government regime between 2004 and 2009 as 'most corrupt' due to which Jagan amassed illegal wealth on a large scale.

AP Congress leaders are opposed to criticising late YSR's Congress government by Chandrababu if TDP maintains ties with Congress.

TDP leaders on the other hand argue that late YSR no more belongs to Congress after his son Jagan quit Congress and formed his own party YSRCP.
