Naidu Tells Diwakar To Apologise; Will He?

Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy seems have become a big headache for his party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The latest incident of JC behaving rudely with the staff of Indigo Airlines at Visakhapatnam, which resulted in all the airlines banning his air travel has come as a major embarrassment to the TDP president.

Naidu on Friday deputed his close aide and Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh to the residence of Diwakar Reddy to prevail upon the latter to tender unconditional apology to the airlines staff for his misconduct, so that it would not become a big political issue.

Naidu spoke to Union civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju to know what exactly happened.

With all the media exposing, along with evidences, the highhanded behaviour of Diwakar Reddy, Naidu conveyed to him that it would be better he tendered apology to the Indigo Airlines staff.

However, Reddy did not give any commitment and Ramesh was trying to convince him, say sources.

Reddy, however, refused to react on the ban imposed on him by the airlines.

“You have already ruined me. I don’t want to talk to media anymore. Please leave me alone,” Reddy told the media.
