Naidu Taking It Easy With Pawan?

Naidu Taking It Easy With Pawan?

Ever since he launched his Jana Porata Yatra from Srikakulam on May 20, power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has been going aggressively against Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

In his first three days of the tour, Pawan’s focus was mainly on attacking Naidu and he hardly made any criticism against either Prime Minister Narendra Modi or YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

After visiting Uddanam area in Srikakulam district on Wednesday, Pawan listed out a series of measures that should be taken to resolve the issue of mysterious kidney diseases in the Uddanam area and gave a 48-hour deadline to the TDP government to provide solution to the problems.

In the past, when Pawan visited the Uddanam and highlighted the issue, Naidu took some quick decisions and tried to provide some solutions to the long-pending problem, like setting up of mobile clinics, establishment of blood banks and summoning of experts to treat the diseases etc.

But this time, there was hardly any response from Naidu except some routine statement from his son Lokesh Naidu that the government was taking all measures to solve the kidney patients’ issue.

The TDP leaders, too, did not come out with any strong reactions to Pawan’s harsh comments and threats that he would rip the government apart etc.

Sources said Naidu wants to take it easy with Pawan.

“It is nothing but natural that when a new leader, that too, an actor comes into people, there would be good response. That does not mean they would vote for him. In any case, we are not in a hurry. We shall wait and watch before finalising our strategy on Pawan,” a TDP leader said.
