MPs Call Foreign Tour a 'Pressure Trip', Not Pleasure

Several members of the all-party delegations that recently toured foreign countries to highlight India’s concerns over cross-border terrorism from Pakistan have now returned.

The trips, though dismissed by some on social media as “pleasure trips,” were described by participants as intense and demanding.

One MP called it more of a “pressure trip” due to the packed schedules that included back-to-back meetings with various stakeholders. Delegates faced a range of challenges, from logistical hurdles to dietary restrictions.

An MP shared that finding vegetarian food abroad was difficult, prompting him to survive mostly on cornflakes, fruits, and a lone “veg pizza.”

Despite representing rival parties, some MPs reportedly developed camaraderie during the course of the tour.
