Lokesh Got 19 Awards, Thanks To BJP?

In the last few months, Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh minister for panchayat raj, rural development and IT Nara Lokesh won as many as 19 awards, including the prestigious Kalam Innovation in Governance Award-2018 (KIGA) from Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Centre in New Delhi last month.

If anybody thinks Lokesh, the only son of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has bagged these awards because of his excellent performance as a minister and his tremendous hard work.

Well, according to Bharatiya Janata Party floor leader in AP assembly P Vishnu Kumar Raju, the credit for Lokesh getting these awards goes to the BJP.

“You people proudly claim that Naidu’s son Lokesh got as many as 19 awards for innovation and excellence. But the fact is that he got them because of the support from the BJP. Could he have got these awards without the Centre giving funds to the state government?” Raju asked the Telugu Desam Party MPs.

Raju reacted strongly to the allegations levelled by the TDP leaders against the NDA government for lack of adequate allocations in the Union budget.

He questioned as to how much money the Centre had released for Polavaram project and how much work the state had done.

He alleged that while asking the Centre to take over the Polavaram project, Naidu brought in new contractor to complete the project for his own benefits.

“Let them point out specifically as to what they want for the state, instead of making wild allegations against the BJP,” he said.
