While every major media house in the nation predicted a victory for TRS in the election, Lagadapati differed from the bunch by predicting a victory for the Congress-TDP coalition.
By virtue of his earlier success rate and the fact that he is a Kamma, many fellow Kammas from the Krishna district trusted him and bet heavily in favour of Mahakutami winning the election.
However, the TRS has decimated the Opposition at the hustings and much to their shock, the Kammas who bet on the Mahakutami lost around Rs 500-700 crore.
They are shell-shocked at the defeat and it can be safely said that it will take them some time to come out from this debacle.
