KCR's Mega Meeting Disappoints!

The public meeting of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and caretaker chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the Secunderabad parade grounds is learnt to have disappointed not only the hard core TRS fans, but also common people who were mobilized in big numbers from different parts of the surrounding assembly constituencies.

KCR spoke for less than 20 minutes and most of it was confined to reeling out the points mentioned in the election manifesto.

In fact, the release of manifesto just three days before the closure of the campaign itself was ridiculous, as there is hardly any time to take it into the people. In any case, there are no major new promises that attract the voters.

The only point that that was interesting for the audience in the KCR’s speech was his comments against Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

He alleged that Naidu had no business to come to Telangana and campaign.

“He has 175 seats in his Andhra Pradesh state. He could go and campaign there. Why should he come here and make silly speeches?” KCR asked.

Stating that people of Andhra and Rayalaseema had been living peacefully under the TRS regime in the last four years without any law and order problem, the Telangana chief minister alleged that Naidu was trying to create rift among the people by whipping up regional and caste sentiments.

“He has come here with selfish motives. You should teach him a fitting lesson,” he said.

The TRS chief also declared that his party was going to win more than 100 out of 119 seats.

“This I am saying confidently because of my personal feedback and also my independent surveys. Tomorrow, somebody might come to you with fake surveys stating that the TRS graph is down. It is cooked up by Chandrababu Naidu. Don’t believe it,” he said.
