Jagan Promises Free Education To BCs!

Seeking to attract the Backward Classes, particularly students and youth, in a big towards the YSR Congress party in the next elections, part president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday announced that his party would provide free education to the students of backward classes right from schooling to their professional education.

Interacting with BCs as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Gorantla in Kurnool district, Jagan said the fee reimbursement scheme would be implemented in a manner and measure which would redefine the education sector and BCs would be given priority along with other weaker sections and the golden era of YSR would once again return to the state.

“The encouragement to education would begin from childhood with Rs 15,000 going straight into the mother’s account for sending her two children to school and would increase with fees reimbursement scheme for professional courses and the education would bring a sea change in the lives of people as they would be getting good jobs,” he said.

Besides fees reimbursement, hostel and mess charges would also be given to the students, he said.

Jagan alleged that present chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had not fulfilled even a single poll promise. He had promised to change the status of Kuruvas from BCs to STs and also include Valmikis and Boyis in the ST list but failed to do so. He has also promised to include Rajakas in SC list but failed to fulfill the promise. He has promised to cut down the power bill charges but not a single promise was fulfilled.

The YSRC president said before TDP coming to power, all the essential commodities were available through Public Distribution System (PDS) but after Naidu took over, people are only getting rice and nothing else which shows his indifference towards common man.

He assured to build houses, provide jobs, give unemployment stipend and nothing was done.
