Given the dismal performance of the Congress party during the recently concluded general elections, everyone including the Congress party members and workers are wondering as to who will salvage the party.
The question arises as to who will take the responsibility of reviving the party following wide-spread discontentment over Rahul Gandhi’s failure to lead the party at a crucial time.
It is said that some Congressmen are hinting that Priyanka be brought into the scene and given the responsibility of leading the party. Till now, her influence was limited to Amethi and Rae Barelli constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.
Some senior Congressmen also feel that Rahul’s immediate coterie of advisors should be blamed for the debacle. They allege that Rahul is unaware of the regional and practical problems that various Congress leaders face on a daily basis.
So, all eyes are now on Priyanka. Will Priyanka who resembles her grandmother Indira Gandhi successfully lead Congress to success?
